Shopping
The main shopping areas are situated in Faro and Albufeira. Both have covered shopping malls with a variety of high street and designer shops, jewellers, large supermarkets and ample parking. However, every town and village has its own little supermarket selling essentials and other local shops selling clothes, souvenirs, local produce and pottery.

The Beaches
The beaches of Portugal are renowned for their spectacular coastline. Only 10 minutes drive away are a selection of beaches, Vilamoura and Quarteira giving miles of open sandy beaches and Vale de Lobo where the beaches are accessed from sandy cliffs.

Marina
The marina at Vilamoura is only a short drive away, an ideal place for a stroll. Hire a boat, arrange a day trip, shop or eat, the marina has it all. Numerous restaurants await you there; from good quality tasty English fayre to Indian, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese and of course Macdonalds.

Restaurants
Restaurants in the Algarve are in abundance.
You can eat any kind of food you like here, from Portuguese to English and everything in between.
Within walking distance of Quinta dos Sonhos are two
Portuguese restaurants offering great value, good quality food.
In Almancil there is a Pizzeria, an Italian, Chinese and Indian restaurants and many many more. Details of some of our local restaurants are in an information pack in each cottage or apartment.

Other Activities
There are over 30 golf courses in the Algarve, 5 of which are situated in Vilamoura, 2 at Vale de Lobo and 2 at Quinta de Lago. So if its golf you’re after there is golf in abundance.
Also for those energetic types there is a number of horse riding establishments, offering riding lessons or trekking, and a tennis academy close by.
